You can delete your Kayda account, and the data saved with it, at any time: in the App, or by writing to us if you no longer have the App.
1. Delete your account in the App
- Open Kayda and sign in.
- On the Home screen, tap your profile picture at the top right to open Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Tap Delete my account to confirm.
Your account is deleted straight away, on every device. This cannot be undone.
2. Ask us to delete it
If you cannot use the App, email admin@techglobe.in with the subject “Delete my Kayda account”. Write from the Google email address you sign in to Kayda with, so that we can confirm the account is yours. We will reply within 7 days and delete the account within 30 days.
3. What is deleted
- Your account: name, email address, profile photo, Google account id, profession, language and chosen Acts.
- Your library: folders, favourite sections, notes and highlights.
- Your study data: flashcard progress and quiz results.
- Your sign-in sessions, notification tokens and the notifications in your inbox.
4. What is kept, and for how long
- Backups: copies of deleted data in our database backups are removed when those backups expire.
- Server logs: kept for a limited time for security and troubleshooting, then deleted.
- Legal needs: we may keep limited data for longer if the law requires it, or to settle a dispute.
- Data on your phone: downloaded laws and app settings stay on the phone until you uninstall Kayda or clear its storage.
- Ads data: data that Google’s ad service collected is held by Google under its own privacy policy, not by us. You can delete or reset your advertising id in your phone’s settings (on Android: Settings > Google > Ads, or Settings > Privacy > Ads).
5. Deleting some data without deleting your account
You can delete individual notes, highlights, favourites and folders in the App’s Library, and remove downloaded laws in Settings. To ask us to delete other data while keeping your account, email admin@techglobe.in.
More about how we handle your data is in the Kayda Privacy Policy.
