TechGlobe Consultancy Services LLP ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Policy Pilot mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, and password when you register or log in.
  • Lead Data: Customer names, phone numbers, email addresses, occupation, annual income, and other details you enter while managing leads.
  • Documents: Files you upload such as identity documents (PAN, Aadhaar, etc.), photos, and PDFs related to leads.
  • Proposals: Insurance proposal details including product names, premium amounts, and policy information.
  • Notes & Follow-ups: Notes, follow-up dates, and related information you create within the App.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Device model, brand, operating system version, and unique device identifiers for the purpose of push notifications.
  • Push Notification Tokens: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens to deliver notifications to your device.
  • Usage Data: App interaction data, feature usage patterns, and error logs to improve app performance.

1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

  • Precise GPS location
  • Contacts or address book
  • Call logs or SMS messages
  • Browsing history
  • Financial or payment information
  • Biometric data (biometric authentication is processed locally on your device only)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • Provide Services: To operate and maintain the App's core functionality — lead management, document tracking, proposal management, and follow-up scheduling.
  • Authentication: To verify your identity and secure your account.
  • Notifications: To send push notifications about lead assignments, document uploads, follow-up reminders, and other relevant updates.
  • Communication: To facilitate WhatsApp and email communication between agents and customers (initiated by you).
  • Improvement: To analyze usage patterns and improve app performance, features, and user experience.
  • Security: To detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats.

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Within Your Organization: Lead and proposal data is shared between agents and managers within the same organization as part of the App's core functionality.
  • Service Providers: We use trusted third-party services to operate the App:
    • Google Firebase — for push notifications and authentication
    • Cloud Hosting Providers — for secure data storage and API hosting
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
  • Protection of Rights: To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, and that of our users.

4. Data Storage & Security

  • All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption).
  • Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing algorithms and are never stored in plain text.
  • Authentication tokens are stored in encrypted secure storage on your device.
  • Uploaded documents are stored on secure cloud storage with access controls.
  • Biometric authentication (fingerprint/face) is processed entirely on your device — biometric data never leaves your phone.
  • The App supports screenshot protection for sensitive screens.

While we implement commercially reasonable security measures, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

  • Your data is retained as long as your account is active and as necessary to provide our services.
  • When you log out, locally cached data is cleared from your device.
  • If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, please contact us at the email provided below.
  • We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., dispute resolution, fraud prevention).

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

  • Access: You can view your personal data within the App at any time.
  • Correction: You can update your profile information through the App.
  • Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and data by contacting us.
  • Notification Preferences: You can disable push notifications through your device settings at any time.
  • Withdraw Consent: You can stop using the App at any time.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child under 18 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it immediately.

8. Third-Party Services

The App may contain links or integrations with third-party services (e.g., WhatsApp for messaging, phone dialer for calls). These services have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

Third-party services used:

  • Google Firebase — Analytics, Cloud Messaging, Authentication
  • WhatsApp — Messaging (user-initiated only)

9. Permissions

The App requests the following device permissions:

  • Internet: Required to communicate with our servers.
  • Camera/Photos: To capture or select documents for upload.
  • Notifications: To receive push notifications and follow-up reminders.
  • Biometric: For optional app lock feature (processed locally).
  • Exact Alarm: To schedule follow-up reminder notifications at the correct time.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
